Will solar power run my chakki motor smoothly without fluctuation?

Yes. We use a MPPT Solar VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) specifically designed for motor loads. It provides stable, regulated power to the motor regardless of solar fluctuations. The motor runs smoothly even as cloud cover varies during the day.

What happens on cloudy or rainy days?

With a battery backup option, your chakki continues to run from stored battery power during brief cloudy periods. For extended rainy seasons, a grid connection (hybrid setup) or diesel charger ensures continuous operation. Most chakki operators take 1–2 weeks off during peak monsoon anyway.

Does my chakki need to be near the solar panels?

The solar panels are ideally installed on your shop's roof or on nearby open land. DC power from panels travels through cables to the VFD controller, which then powers your motor. Panel-to-motor distances up to 30–50 meters are standard, longer distances are possible with proper cable sizing.
